Learn how to monitor the implementation of human rights mechanisms such as our constitution and human rights treaties. This can involve tracking the progress of government commitments or holding institutions accountable for upholding human rights standards.

Accessing justice and understanding the system

Knowing your way around the government system is crucial for seeking justice. HURISA’s training provides you with the knowledge to understand the roles and functions of key institutions like the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), Commission for Gender Equality (CGE), and the Public Protector. This empowers you to know where to seek help for specific human rights concerns.
